The mention of “travel photography” often conjures up ideas of glossy magazine spreads and exotic locales, but we love this project we stumbled across that takes travel photography in a much different direction.
Italian commercial and documentary travel photographer Gabriele Galimberti journeyed around the world with CouchSurfing for more than a year, sleeping in the homes of complete strangers and documenting stories of the individuals and families willing to open their lives to him. His images chronicle a beautiful mix of cultures and lifestyles spanning all five continents, accommodations ranging from luxurious villas to one-room multi-family homes, and portraits revealing little snippets of the many lives he intersected.

When a series or a single photograph makes us stop and stare we share it here with you. Our “Right Brain” series is filled with photographs and projects that get our creative wheels spinning.
